Pilates

Why Pilates?

Pilates is a powerful means to restore good posture, strength and flexibility to the body. Pilates works on strengthening and training the deep structural muscles that support our skeletal system, whilst addressing muscle imbalances. The Method is profound, thorough and life enhancing, something worth practicing for the rest of your life. Pilates also contributes positively to well-being by releasing stress and increasing energy.

Rachel is a highly experienced Pilates teacher, having taught for over 20 years. She completed a fully comprehensive Pilates training with The Pilates Foundation UK, which upholds the highest standards in Pilates training. Her training was extensive and rigorous in both Studio Apparatus and Matwork, where she gained extensive knowledge of the Pilates Method as well as rehabilitation of specialised conditions.

Studio Apparatus Pilates

Rachel offers one to one or duet bespoke Pilates lessons in her fully equipped apparatus studio in Coombe, Kingston upon Thames, KT2, personalised to your own needs and level in strength and fitness. The studio has two cadillacs, a reformer, a wunda chair and small Pilates equipment. The one to one or duet classes allow Rachel to pay attention to the smallest of details and accuracy of movement.
